A Spiritual Challenge...

'Evil flourishes when good men do nothing' - Edmund Burke

The absolute root of our problems today isspiritual decay, which isolates us from God.

Our world has become a secular chaos, deliberately taken over by television, addiction to youth, foolishness, ignorance and dismissal of liberty, identity, responsibility and power - all in return for ease, baubles and the artificial delights of abject materialism.

And so, no movement espousing liberty can be effective without respect for God, or the Ultimate Good or true spirituality.

Yes, it is right and good that institutions of religion should be separate from institutions of government.

The reason for this is that if the two merge there is too much power in the hands of the few; and men – especially those in power - are easily corrupted.

And when we talk about religion and government we are talking about immense power; not least because those running the nation have access to the armed forces and the making of laws; and those running religions can easily dupe people into believing they have direct access to God, the greatest power of all, and so use that power towards sinister ends.

But it is also right and good for men in government or in political power to be men who seek the Truth of God (or Allah, or whoever you identify as the One God) in their hearts.

For when a government is full of people who understand and follow the Ultimate and Eternal Good, then that government will be good, and so will the nation: if a fish rots at the head, the fish is fresh when the head is not rotten.

Hence whilst the spirit of the US Constitution is in accord with God and God’s laws, the institution of religion was not to be part of government and vice versa – see the First Amendment, which states ‘Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…’

Thus, by implication, the Constitution draws a line between government and religion.

One of the main problems now sprouting from the roots of our spiritual decay is that huge organisations, including ones falsely marching under the banner of religion, are running the world.

And these organisations are working with each other to create the New World Order: a sinister one-world government system of total control; set up to counter and destroy our God-given liberty and, indeed, our entire existence.

LocalLiberty is therefore in favour of getting God back to the hearts of all men.
