SCRIPTURES...

The notes below may be expanded upon with reference to the books, The Astrology of God and A Message To Us All.

True Prophets

It has been many centuries since the last true Prophet walked this Earth.

That is, it has been a very long time since there has been a man who has revealed God in a new and unique way to a particular collective at a time around when that collective became Complete.

Yes, there have been so-called 'teachers' and, indeed, deceivers, who have interpreted Scriptures and, worse, mixes of various Scriptures in their own way, while falsely claiming to be Messengers; or there have been people who have written false scriptures and have been false messengers of God.

But there have been no true Prophets for a very long time.

True religions

The religions, which are based in the Scriptures, have done well to continue with their work.

But, perhaps understandably, they have all strayed from their true meaning and purpose, and so they all need to be tidied up.

A true religion is an organisation on Earth that acts as a mediator between man and God.

Its purpose is to teach about God so that we may walk in step with what is Good, or, as I say in the book, A Message To Us All, walk in step with the Divine.

A true religion is based in the teachings of a Prophet, or a man who reveals God in a new and original way; and thus reveals God to a particular collective and therefore to a particular culture or series of relevant cultures so that they may truly understand God.

The Scriptures - for example those of the New and Old Testaments and the Koran - are the basis of true religions.

The meaning has been blurred

The meaning of all Scriptures have been obfuscated by many things, including time, changes of culture and poor interpretation.

Let us consider each of these.

Time alters the meaning of anything because something can only exists in relation to what surrounds it. For instance if I give a young lad a toy fire engine he might very well be delighted and play with it with great enthusiasm. But if I give the same fire engine to him when he is an adult it will have an entirely different meaning: he will no longer play with it, and he might even be offended; at the very best he will use it as an ornament.   Thus, since things change with every moment, so does the meaning of everything else, including the Scriptures.

Each Scripture was meant originally for its own culture or set of cultures.

Thus, its meaning depends on that culture(s).

Therefore, take it away from that culture and you reduce its meaning.   And since the meaning of the Scriptures is meant to be as close to God and therefore as close to perfection as possible, any reduction of that meaning is a serious problem.

It is the priests (and their equivalents) who help interpret the Scriptures to teach to their people. And the people, of their own volition, may read and interpret the Scriptures, preferably with the initial teaching of the priest.

But, people, including priests from all religions, are faulted.

And, since anything can be twisted in a way that suits us, so there have been many people who have wrongly interpreted the Scriptures for their own gain no matter how base or evil it may have been.

Religion and nation

It is made very clear in A Message To Us All that no religion should extend beyond the boundaries of a nation.

Thus, whilst the teachings of a Prophet may extend beyond national boundaries, the true religion may not.

A religion is part of a nation and must therefore act in accord with the laws and customs of that nation, and not beyond.

If it fails to do this, it fails to deliver its true message, for true religions only function with respect to nation states.

Moreover, religion is a powerful force and therefore should not be in hands of anyone outside those elected to sit in a nation's government.

The Scriptures have been written

The return of meaning to the true religions is essential if we are once again to benefit from the teachings of the Prophets.

For the Scriptures have been written.

Consider this example: it has been part of the music industry recently to release recordings or part-recordings of songs.

Whilst these have been of interest to music lovers, they are off-cuts and are not how the song should have been.

Similarly, the Scriptures for the true religions have been set as they should be for a very long time. Whilst academic and archaeological details might raise questions, these are only like those off-cuts of the original pop songs - they are merely matters for interest and creative speculation only.

Beyond that they are are not relevant to the true meaning of the Scriptures in question.

Organisation of religions

Of course, a true religion should be organised within its nation.

This helps people involved with the religion to discuss ideas and to extend the teachings. Without a clear structure of organisation the religion would simply be a shambles and thus totally ineffective.

Religion and education

Since religion should be the font of all education, so religions should be deeply involved at the root of the academic education system from the lowest to the highest levels.

Unlocking the meaning of the Scriptures

The Astrology of God and A Message to Us All are both parts of the key to help unlock the meaning of religions. More on this soon.
